New Year, New Goals In The Midst Of The Pandemic!

It’s New Year’s Eve! I’m sure you’re wondering what to do, where to go, what to eat. Even though 2020 has been an unexpected year of ups and downs for many, it’s still worth celebrating the new year to come.

I know you probably have your normal traditions you look forward to each year, no matter it be attending a big party, club, bar, intimate gathering or celebrating solo reflecting on the new year. However, due to the circumstances, you can create new traditions with family and friends. Or old ones since forgotten about. When’s the last time you put a board game on your New Year’s Eve plans? Since I have a kid in my household, I play them often. It’s a nice way sometimes to reminisce without technology’s input. Or play a family game electronically. Dance your heart out in front of the TV. A simple celebration can be great!

Not to mention, there are so many digital platforms out there to help you keep in touch and there’s no better day than today to celebrate with those you care about. Have an online party. Watch the New Year’s Eve countdown together, get some poppers, blow horns and sparkling apple cider or something stronger. Toast to life, health, love and endless possibilities. Do you love fireworks? Find out a good spot to socially distanced watch them. Consider your car. It could be like you’re at drive in movie but live!

As well, who said you can’t dress up? It’s New Year’s Eve! Put on those staple pieces you’ve been looking forward to wearing. Get take out or prepare a special dinner that you would go get at a nice restaurant or just your favorite meal. Throw in some of the foods that are suppose to be good luck like beans, grapes, fish, oranges and cake. But as some say, you make your own luck, so do it just because you’re optimistic about the new year! Use your good plates and silverware. Talk about what you’re grateful for and what you’re looking forward to in 2021 and beyond. Or spend a relaxing night getting your goal list together. Make a good cocktail and unwind. Wait, do you have goals? If not, you should. Written goals to hold you accountable. I have said this before and will keep saying it, in hopes that it reaches even one person.

Speaking of which, I been started working on my goal list for next year. And I already started implementing them into The Staples Showroom too. Why wait?! Tomorrow’s not promised and we take everything for granted. But I’m not! I’m so thankful for my amazing clientele that supports my online boutique, but my top goals include opening a showroom where I can showcase my staples, essentials, impulsive and signature pieces. Also, I’m dropping a signature collection. Have you checked out The Staples Showroom lately? Shop All — The Staples Showroom. These past years have been a learning opportunity for me. I understand my clients needs. I know my clients bodies, what looks good on anyone and what fits best. I want my brand to be as personable and relatable as possible, while offering quality pieces at the best price points. And I’m going to continue in the new year to introduce more pieces that express my signature fashion style. There’s no stopping me and you either! Remember, look forward and live today!
