Praying For Racial Equality

Good evening Beautiful Women Supporting Women,

I hope this message finds you all well.  I have to say how happy I am to see that we are having peaceful protests around the world.  It makes my heart sing to see people of all walks of life coming together to fight an issue that has plagued our country for centuries!

There have been some strides made since all of these events have unfolded.  Some of them may be familiar to you and others may not be, but here are a few:

*Minneapolis bans the use of choke holds

*Charges are upgraded against Officer Chauvin and his accomplices are arrested and charged

*Dallas adopts a “duty to intervene” rule that requires officers to stop other cops who are engaging in inappropriate use of force

*Police brutality captured on cameras leads to near-immediate suspensions and firings of officers in several cities (i.e., Buffalo and Ft. Lauderdale)

*Street in front of the White House is renamed “Black Lives Matter Plaza”

*Protests are still continuing to happen around the world.

Positive change will come from these heinous crimes, but it will take time, consistency and action!

For the Law Enforcement members that are doing their job, which is to serve the community, please pray for them too.  They have families that are awaiting their safe return after protecting our lives.  All Officers are NOT racists or murderers!

This is the week of Juneteenth!  I will celebrate right up to the day slaves became free, which is on June 19th, 1865!

I leave you with these words from Eleanor Roosevelt:Eleanor Roosevelt

Have a beautiful and safe week…..

Spread Love, Not Hate.

Changing the face of racism….one person at a time
