Good morning beautiful Women Supporting Women,
Happy Monday to you all! I hope you had a fantastic weekend! I spent my time cleaning and relaxing. Sunday, I went to church in the house with Joel Osteen! What an amazing service. I’m not sure if you have ever felt that a sermon is for you, but I felt like Joel was speaking directly to me! His words, along with a call received from one of my beautiful clients, let me know that I am exactly where I am ordained to be!
Last week, I announced the winner of the Halloween gift card giveaway! Ms. Lisa DeSheers is now sitting back and sipping on her pumpkin latte, on me. 🙂 Congratulations again and thank you again to all who submitted their answers. More to come before the end of the year.
I have a topic that will become a series around the 2nd week of December until the end of the year, but for now, I will do potluck with our blogs. I figured, what better topic to discuss than one that shares information about the richest, self-made women in America.
These women are not only our normal celebrities like Oprah, Rihanna, Serena Williams and Kylie Jenner. This list is also comprised of the everyday women who are not in the celebrity spotlight but are millionaires/billionaires, nonetheless. I would like to introduce you to a few of these superstars:
Janice Bryant Howroyd (age 66) – Best known for being the founder and CEO of ActOne, a $950 million dollar provider of the workforce solutions, including temporary staffing. In 1978, the business was opened with $1500, including a $900 loan from her mother, a phone and a fax machine. The company has over 17,000 clients, 2600 employees and is located in 19 countries! In addition she owns several dozen commercial and residential properties.
Meg Whitman (age 62) – Best known for taking Ebay from 5.7 million to 8 billion in sales from 1998 – 2008! Currently, she is the CEO of Quibi – a streaming platform which stands for “quick bites”. This short-form mobile video platform is geared towards the younger generation, where it will deliver information in 10 minutes. It will focus on various genres such as, horror clips, beauty, comedy, docuseries and much more. Stay tuned for its launch in April 2020.
Marian Ilitch (age 86) – Best known for being a co-founder for Little Caesar’s pizza chain in 1959, with her husband, Mike, who passed away in 2017. Little Caesar’s is bringing in 4 billion a year!!!!! On top of this, she is the owner of Detroit Red Wings and the Motor City Casino Hotel.
There are so many others that I will highlight next week. Your passion becomes your motivation. Your motivation becomes your brand. Your brand becomes your success! No matter how big or small, it’s never too late to put actions to your dreams!
