Praying Season!

To all my readers, it is praying time.

We are living in a season where daily prayer is no longer an option it is a must. We are living in a time of great upheaval, where negative and disturbing activities have become the norm. As I write this blog there are now over 64,000 African American women and girls that have gone missing in the United States of America.  Although it is such a staggering number, very few news outlets even bother to report the countless stories. According to CNN Health every 5 days one child under age 13 commits suicide. Children as young as 5 years old have reported to have taken their own lives. Mass incarceration, gun violence and police brutality has left gaping holes in communities where positive male presence are needed the most. From Europe to Africa economic turbulence and civil unrest have left many countries on the verge of collapse. From natural disasters to government sanctions millions of people go to bed each night without food and shelter. If ever we needed God’s people to pray, surely we need them now.

Life is tough and the struggle is real, but never allow your circumstances to stop you from prayer. Jesus said in Luke 18:18 “And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint..” That simply means that we must pray when things are bad and when they are good. We must pray when we wake up, pray throughout our day and certainly before we go to sleep.

We must live in constant connection with our heavenly father. The devil is like a roaring lion, he seeks out his prey early in the morning, even while we are asleep he’s planning his attack. I would admonish you to increase your prayer life starting today. pray for your children, pray for our community, pray for those in government; mayor, governor and president.  Lastly, pray for you do it for you, your children, their children, children around the world, people around the world, the politicians, the president etc. There is no one on the face of this earth that cannot use prayer.

Also pray for your enemies because even they need deliverance. In return God will bless you.
