Don’t be ashamed of your testimony

Someone once told me that God is not looking for perfect people rather he is looking for obedient ones.  Your testimony matter both to God and to those that will hear it.  When you refuse to share them, you hurt yourself in the end.  My earnest prayer for you is that you will begin to tell others about the wonderful things God has done for you. Remember that God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love and a sound mind. There are others who need to know how you got over so that they can obtain the same freedom by faith.

Remember that there are countless people who did not survive what’s you’ve gone through. There are some people in mental institution and worse many have committed suicide. You are still here because God kept you. You are now a living witness that miracles still happen. Please remember that God didn’t allow what happened to you to be kept a secret.

I’ve learned that people’s opinion of you is not God’s judgment towards you. God does not think like us. We tend to judge by appearances, but God looks at the heart. 2 Timothy 1: 8 states “So do not be ashamed of the testimony about our Lord or of me his prisoner. Rather, join with me in suffering for the gospel, by the power of God. You were saved and called out not because of the things you did right but because God had a purpose for your life. His grace allowed you to come forth as pure gold, so why keep that glory contained?

Please understand that shame will keep you imprisoned. You will continue to be hindered and haunted by your past if you refuse to stand on God’s word. You have been forgiven, you have been healed and you are delivered.  Free yourself by sharing your past hurt and the conditions that once bound you.

The bible is filled with many men and women that broke out of the prison of shame. Apostle Paul said I’m the chief of sinners and rightfully so, no one can fully comprehend the life he had to live. He was raised in the church, hoodwinked by the enemy to forsake everything he learned, persecuted the church and killed innocent Christian. Then the turnaround came on the Damascus road and he became a herald for the gospel.

Apostle Paul rose above all his pain and he learned that there is no condemnation to them that are in Christ Jesus. Be transparent because the world needs to hear from you….we are waiting!!
