Whether I am on social media or at work it seems that bereavement notices are coming in like a flood. This causes me to try to understand death a little better and to accept the fact that we are not here to stay.
I want to send a special prayer to all those that are battling the loss of a loved one. I sincerely pray that God will comfort each one of you.
It is important to trust God through your pain, your hurt, and your moments of despair. It is God that will bring peace into the situation. Matthew 5: 4 states “Blessed are those that mourn for they shall be comforted”. You must go through the grieving process, but know that God will heal the hurt that death has caused you. He will also give you reasons to press on.
I read a post which stated “A daughter was born on the day her grandmother died” Life my friends can be bittersweet. We are always in a constant state of mourning and celebrating. At times we must do both simultaneously. All I can tell you is that God is aware of what is going on in your life and the best thing you can do is trust him.
As believers, we must understand that our loved ones were never ours to keep. When the creator calls them back home there is nothing we can do, but accept his will. The scripture tells us that there is no victory in death; therefore, believe that your saved family members are sleeping in eternal rest.
It is important that you allow God to use you to save others; this ensures that they will see God. Romans 10: 9-10 states “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shall be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation”.
