Beyoncé is a God? – Well, have it your way!

I recently had a conversation with someone regarding this alleged church of Beyoncé. The exact name is “The National Church of Bey”. I am both appalled and disgusted that this generation has chosen to serve a false God named Beyoncé.

King Solomon said there is nothing new under the sun, so it’s actually not that usual that people are given Beyoncé deity status now.  In fact, thousands of years ago the people at that time worshipped a false God by the name of Diana.  However, I stand with the same spirit as Elijah, In Kings 18: 21 Elijah went before the people and said, “How long will you waver between two opinions? If the LORD is God, follow him; but if Baal is God, follow him.” But the people said nothing.

I’m writing this blog to remind someone to choose Christ because “The National Church of Bey”, won’t give you the substance you need to live a fulfilled life.  In fact, it may be your one-way ticket to hell. Idolizing men and women is a sin and a recipe for disaster. Beyoncé has stated from her own mouth that she has her own share of insecurities. Therefore, how can you serve someone that battles the same issues you do?

On the other hand, Jesus said: “I overcame the world, so you can as well”.  I choose to walk with the creator of the heavens and the earth. The God who speaks a word and whatever he commands it shall come to pass. Remember we are living in the last days and the enemy will use anything and anyone to distract you. Don’t be so lost in other people’s problems that you fail to address your own. Don’t be so caught up in the fantasy that you start crossing the line between reality and allusions. Beyoncé is a character and it takes discernment to separate entertainment from reality.

If you are battling mental illness please seek the Lord and speak to a professional counselor that can guide you down the right path.  Beyoncé fans don’t realize that they really know little about her and the religion of “Beyism” will only serve to perpetuate their infatuation. Instead, find comfort in knowing that God has your best interest at heart and whatever you stand in need of he is here for you. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him,

and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3: 5-6
