Be aware of the enemy

Last weekend most of our hearts were crushed by the violent death of Lesandro Guzman-Feliz aka Junior. He was dragged out of a Bronx bodega and murdered in the streets. My condolences and prayers go out to his family and friends.

It was an evil act of violence against a human being and it’s a reminder of how wicked the hearts of men have become.   I hope you know that the enemy is very busy.   1 Peter 5: 8 Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. It is our duty to continue to pray and continue to be a helping hand to those around us.

I too have witnessed a situation that could have ended with the death of a young African American male but I was led to scream out “Stop, No it is not that serious”. Yes, I put my life on the line but I couldn’t live with myself if I watched this young man being stabbed to death before my eyes. Don’t get me wrong I understand the danger that we face when we try to intervene in violent matters, but sometimes it is worth it.

Let’s aim to put a stop to the violence that is plaguing our young people. Pray for people everywhere because the enemy is messing with the minds and hearts of many.   Our society is plagued by angry and irate people.

Together we can make a difference; spiritually one can chase a thousand and two can chase ten thousand to flight. Let’s bond together in prayer and shed the light of the knowledge of God to all those that will hear us.

Our community must come together and create safe centers for our children to attend after school and during the summer.

The children need to attend church and put their trust in God. Too many young adults are putting their trust in meaningless things and they are failing.

Let’s make a difference together.
