Relationship over Religion

A relationship is a way in which two or more people are connected to one another and Religion is the belief in and worship of a superhuman controlling power, especially a personal God or Gods.

A person can have religion and no relationship because they choose to live strictly under the law; however, a relationship makes the obedience of holy living more lawful.

A relationship will allow you to be obedient unto the will of God. A relationship will cause you to seek the Lord early in the morning. It will let you stay up with him at the midnight hour. A relationship will let you seek him while it’s still day and spread the gospel as you would gossip. Relationships tend to make people more vulnerable and intimate. God wants to have that type of relationship so that you’ll keep him at the fore front of your life.

God wants to hear the issues of your heart so that he can remove your sadness. He wants to dry your tears and let you know everything will be alright. God wants to be the first person you run to because only he can truly resolve all issues.

Today, choose a relationship with God. Let him know what your heart desires is so that you can truly live a life of abundance because that is what is promised to you.  Relationships in the natural are not perfect but we still strive to make it work.

Today, be mindful that your spiritual relationship with the father can and will be perfect. God doesn’t count perfection as men do but he judges by your heart. God is the shoulder to lean on and he will give you whatever you need.

Today, let Isaiah 61: 3 be a comfort to you “To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified”.
