So, have you ever met a Female Jr.? If not, you can now add one to your list! My name is Marsha Lee Coleman, Jr. and I am an Agent with New York Life Insurance Company, one of the strongest financial companies in the industry. I’m also a fully licensed Registered Representative offering securities products and services through NYLIFE Securities LLC (member FINRA/ SIPC). I am excited to share with my community the importance of managing your money today so you are living a life of luxury tomorrow. By the way, the Jr. is legitimate! I am named after my mother 🙂
Growing up in Brooklyn, NY., allowed me to see what I wanted and didn’t want in my life. I always wondered, how could I, a young female in East New York/Canarsie, find my niche. I was fortunate enough to have parents who supported mine and my brother’s dreams, no matter how far out they could be.
As I got older, I realized what my true passion was. Since I’ve been told and felt that I had a nurturing spirit, it only made sense that I would pick a profession that allowed me to combine this and my love of banking into one, so in 1990, I chose the financial industry.
Over my 28 year career in this field, (20 years with Citibank), I have been able to change the lives of my clients and colleagues, through 3 simple attributes: passion, inspiration and education. Passion because I love what I do, inspiration because sometimes we all need to hear we can achieve what we believe and education because an informed person makes the best decision. To this day, nothing gives me greater satisfaction than to know I have made a difference to someone.
I am blessed to have an offspring who has my same passion for helping people. My son, Jaden, who will be 19 in August, is currently a freshman in college and runs track. As he grows in a sport he loves so dearly, he looks to help others achieve their goals too.
I’ve been fortunate to meet so many wonderful people on this journey. I will never stop giving this profession my all, as it is personal for me (will share on one of my posts).
My motto is: Changing the lives in our community….one person at a time.
Thank you for stopping by and will see you on Mondays.
