Ladies we have all heard these terms before; dog tired, burnt out, stressed out, fatigued, etc. Exhaustion and feeling overwhelmed is common among countless women in our society. However, there is good news, you can win your battle against exhaustion. Allow me to help you. First, it is a natural feeling that overcomes each of us at different moments in time. Second, I want to encourage you to seek God’s strength when you become emotionally overwhelmed. The scripture says “come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.” Matthew 11:28-29. I can vouch that the word of God is dependable. I beg you to write this scripture down on a few post- it (choose a color that cheers you up, I like the pink ones) and hang your post-it around the house or at your work desk. I promise you that once this scripture has been quoted a few times the strength of God will hit you before you even realize it. The word of God produces strength and combats feelings of exhaustion. I dare you to try it. Finally, God’s word is a weapon. It is likened to a sword that should be used against the wiles (tricks) of the enemy. Jesus told the devil in Matthew 4: 4 “But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.”
Let’s remember that the word of God is stronger than any two-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12), it will cut through the affairs of your heart and at the same time release the stronghold over you that is hindering you from feeling your best. God has a plan for your life and it is the devil’s job to block you from fulfilling those plans. In the wise words of my sister Elder Shivers, if an enemy is fighting you, then you should “fight back”. Today begin to fight back against the enemy and declare that whatever he stole from you; your vitality, sense of wellbeing, personal power, etc. will be recovered. God has your best interest at heart and he is not slack concerning his promises (2Peter 3:9).
Be encouraged this second month of a brand-new year. Remember that God will renew your strength and he will fulfill every promise that he made to you.
May God’s strength be your portion in 2018.
Yes girl, this blog was right on time. At times I have to remind myself that god has a plan for me; and “Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him”. Whenever I make 2 steps forward I feel like I get pushed back 5 times… ugh exhausting, but then god shows me something that needed to change or needed to let go before he I move forward. 🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿
